The above Patient Expectations video from Javara describes what patients can expect when they participate in a clinical trial.

My contributions to the video above included:

  • Creating the entire video using Creative Studio Pro from a script.

  • Extracting and editing scenes together from b-roll footage.

  • Creating, animating, or tweaking any motion graphics.

  • Adding a voice track and timing the video to the recording, as well as selecting and adding a background music track.

The above DSIVerse video from DSI unveils the logo for the company’s first-ever intranet for employees. The video was played in front of the entire company during DSI’s annual company-wide event, National Sales Meeting, in 2022.

My contributions to the video above included:

  • Creating the entire video, including animating the logo (which I created as well), editing, and adding sound.

The above Patient Compensation video from Javara describes how patients are compensated if they participate in a clinical trial. It was used on the company website and on social media.

My contributions to the video above included:

  • Using the software Doodly to conceptualize and create the video from a script.

  • Selecting, adding, or modifying illustration assets for the video.

  • Editing the entire video using the assets, timing it to a voice recording, and adding in a background music track.

  • Creating multiple versions/formats of the video for specific social platforms, including making alternate versions for each healthcare partner Javara had.

My initial contributions to this major project — a virtual commencement (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) for the last graduates from the Dallas College Community College District before it became Dallas College — included:

  • Conceptualizing a design for the video opening. My initial concept for the opening featured falling confetti effects, as well as fade-ins of the text and a sweeping gold highlight effect to emphasize the momentous and formal event. These initial ideas were incorporated with a few other design concepts to create the final intro that appears in the above video for El Centro College, as well as the other colleges’ videos.

  • Conceptualizing a design for the lower thirds. I kept the same unified concept with fade-ins and a sweeping gold highlight effect. These initial ideas were incorporated into the final lower thirds that are used throughout all the individual college videos.

My responsibilities during the production phase included:

  • Creating the editable template files and usable lower third video files for the chancellor and board of trustees for each of the district’s seven colleges.

  • Creating the editable template files and final video files for a broad list of speakers — faculty, students, and guest speakers — for each of the seven colleges.

  • Importing and editing the speaker videos — stabilizing any shaky camera movements and cutting the videos at the appropriate sections — while also implementing the sweeping gold effect to the outline of each speakers’ video for each of the seven colleges.

  • Editing the aerial drone footage background to create a dynamic effect for each of the college videos.

This project required close cooperation and collaboration with fellow designers, videographers, and media personnel to accomplish the intended goals — which I believe we were able to achieve with great results.
